Would You Rather... Thumball

Would you rather fly or teleport? Start a lively conversation with the Would You Rather... Thumball®. Each of its 32 panels presents two choices, giving friends, classmates, or colleagues a playful way to share preferences and explain their thinking.

This soft, soccer-style conversation ball is designed for indoor activities at work, school, or home. Use it for meeting introductions, classroom discussions, family gatherings, or parties.

How to play

1. Gently toss or pass the Thumball to another player.
2. Have them read aloud the question under their right thumb.
3. Ask them to choose an option and explain why. There are no right or wrong answers.
4. Pass it on and keep the conversation going.

Example prompts

• Would you rather... be able to fly or teleport?
• Would you rather... have a super fancy house or a super fancy car?
• Would you rather... be an extra in an Oscar-winning movie or the lead in a box office bomb?
• Would you rather... have a pause button or a rewind button in life?
• Would you rather... have unlimited gas or unlimited cell phone data?
• Would you rather... hear what your pets think of you or have them speak to you?

Facilitation ideas

• Give players time to discuss why a choice feels difficult.
• Frame responses around a particular life stage, situation, or workplace experience.
• Choose one panel for everyone in the group to answer.
• Collect responses to several prompts and turn the results into a group chart or graph.
